Details

Add Ritchey's Comp 30D Stem to your speedster for a higher handlebar position and great control. It's made of forged aluminum for low weight, excellent durability, and stiffness, plus the 30-degree rise translates into a comfortable ride. And, it features Ritchey's Bias Clamp and a 4-bolt faceplate, making it super secure.

By placing the stem clamp slot at an angle and using opposing bolts, stress is distributed evenly across the clamping zone, resulting in a stronger, more secure grip with less torque. This makes Ritchey stems a great choice for use with forks with carbon steerers.
Stem angle and length measurement

Stem angle is one of the factors that determines handlebar height. A listed angle of 0 degrees actually provides a rise that is dependent on your bike’s head angle (see image).

Stem length is measured along the side of the stem from the center of the steerer to the center of the handlebar clamp (see diagram). Keep in mind that as a stem provides more rise, its effective length decreases. In the example above, if the +17 degree stem measures 135mm, it actually extends 108mm parallel to the ground.
